Are you a skilled Fire Protection Engineer with experience in fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and fire safety compliance? We’re hiring for an exciting field service role covering Swindon and the M4/M5 corridor.
?? Job Overview:?? Job Title: Fire Protection Engineer (Security Field Service Engineer)?? Location: Swindon & M4/M5 Corridor (Field-Based)?? Salary: £33,000 - £39,000 per annum + Benefits?? Hours: Monday to Friday (Office Hours)
?? Key Responsibilities:? Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Installation – Commissioning, installing, and upgrading conventional, addressable, and wireless fire alarm systems.? Routine Maintenance & Servicing – Ensuring fire alarm, emergency lighting, and fire extinguishers are fully operational.? Troubleshooting & Repairs – Responding to reactive calls for fault-finding and diagnostics.? Site Assessments & Compliance Checks – Conducting inspections for fire safety compliance (FIA/NICEIC standards).? Technical Support & Customer Service – Providing expert support and advice to clients.
?? What We’re Looking For:? Minimum 2 years’ experience in fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.? Strong knowledge of FIA / NICEIC compliance standards.? Experience with fire alarm installation & servicing (conventional, addressable, wireless systems).? Ability to service fire extinguishers and emergency lighting.? Full, clean UK driving license (Field-Based Role).? Excellent problem-solving and report-writing skills.? Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a "can-do" attitude.
