Role Summary:

The role will be responsible for devising and implementing the club’s sales strategy to drive, retain and develop the business, to maximise revenue and profitability for the club.

Commercial Responsibilities:

  • To develop a cohesive partnership strategy and plan to enable the club to achieve and exceed commercial targets.
  • A revenue driver with expert negotiating and influencing skills with an astute approach to business development.
  • To manage sales plans to achieve targets
  • To agree and manage budgets as directed by the GM.
  • To manage relationships with commercial partners to maintain positive relationships.
  • To maximise support for all sales initiatives.
  • Lead the sales team to ensure that match day partnerships are sold out for each fixture.
  • Source new commercial partners at all levels of the club.
  • Ensure that events are held regularly at the rink throughout the season which generate future income for the club.
  • Be innovative and creative to develop new revenue streams and commercial opportunities.
  • Drive the commercial for the club to work in tandem with the clubs on ice ambitions.
  • Any other duties as deemed reasonable by the GM.

Match Day Duties

  • Be an integral part of matchdays ensuring engagement with the club’s commercial sponsors and partners to ensure all match day needs are met.
  • Ensure all hospitality needs and rooms are set up accordingly with bookings/requirements.

Management and Development

  • Effectively accomplish all goals and ensure the highest level of service is delivered.
  • Attend networking events as and when required to promote the brand.
  • Meet with the team on a regular basis to discuss commercial performance, new initiatives and discuss any feedback/issues.

General Duties and Accountabilities:

  • To always support and drive the team in their aims and objectives.
  • To keep confidential any information gained regarding the club and its personnel.
  • To represent our client in a professional manner.
  • To always maintain a flexible approach to work.
  • To undertake other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time.

Contract - Permanent

Hours of work - 39 hours per week to include matchdays (Saturday evenings) during on ice season, with a view to reduced hours of 32 hours per week during the off season.
