Engineering Project Manager - Cleantech Location: Swindon (hybrid: 2 days in office, 3 days remote)

We are recruiting for an innovative cleantech company developing cutting-edge sustainability solutions, working across sectors including food, agriculture, energy storage, and water utilities.

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the design, construction, commissioning, and handover of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role involves both office-based planning and on-site implementation, including some UK and international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from inception to completion
  • Develop project control systems for budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
  • Oversee contract compliance and stakeholder relationships
  • Write proposals and client briefs
  • Monitor project-specific intellectual property

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems, Process) or related discipline
  • 10+ years' experience in MEICA project management within waste recycling, food, agriculture, chemicals, or aggregates
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Project and project management tools
  • Problem-solving mindset with strong communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK driver’s license and willingness to travel

Desirable

  • Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP)
  • Experience in control systems, mechanical design, or commissioning
  • Knowledge of material handling, pelleting, or recycling technologies
  • Experience with InnovateUK or BEIS funding projects
