Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of crucial water & wastewater projects, ensuring they meet all time, budget, scope, and quality objectives. This role will lead the project team to develop, procure and deliver complex major projects at large sewage treatment works at various sites. What you would be doing as a Project Manager:
  • Identify and develop new opportunities for projects through business relationships.
  • Be responsible for drafting the customer offer based on the best solution for the customer and known limitations and requirements. Manage project end to end activity with full responsibility for P&L results.
  • Have ownership of multiple projects and report variance of budgeted vs actual schedule and financials.
  • Clearly define the project scope and always maintain control using company project processes and procedures.
  • Ensure acceptance criteria is directly linked to the requirements scope, is documented, and used to achieve sign off by the customer.
  • Provide the highest standard of Health and Safety by supervision, good management practices, inspections, and monitoring.
  • Ensure management and customers are kept fully informed on all project progress against plan Control scope through the use of the change management procedure.
  • Ensure the business and clients’ interests are always a priority.
  • Continually strive to improve Project Management throughout the business.
  • Delegate tasks to and control resource from other business units or sub-contractors to deliver project objectives.
  • Conduct site inspections and write risk assessments as required.
  • Authorise and control planned spend and invoicing in line with agreed schedule.
  • Operate project within allocated budget constraints and report unexpected variance at the earliest opportunity.
  • Maintain accurate risk and issue register and develop mitigating actions to address both.
  • Complete a project handover and close down including lessons learnt, close down report and handover to BAU.
  • Obtain the relevant TWOSA, TCOP and permits to work on behalf of the business, if needed.
  • Point of contact for engineers and technicians on a daily basis both regarding the contract and technical queries.
  • Use financial management tools appropriately to ensure commercial information is accurate and up to date.
  • Prepare risk assessments and method statements as required.
  • Prepare handover reports for customers, as necessary.
  • Keep senior management up to date at all times when delivering multiple projects.
  • Control invoicing values and timings to ensure financial benefits are realised swiftly.
  • Complete all system processes in line with the management system.
  • Management of supplier deliveries and ordering
  • Monitor sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained.
