Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Design Lead to join our in-house creative team at the National Trust. Our Communications and Marketing directorate plays a key role in telling remarkable stories and promoting the mission of Europe’s largest conservation charity. It's an exciting time for creative development and growth at the National Trust as we strive to boost recognition and recall of our brand, diversify our audiences, and communicate more relevantly and timely with our supporters. The need for excellent and consistent creativity has never been stronger.

You'll need to bring bold and relevant design to a range of new and existing channels. Therefore, we'll require you to upload a portfolio of your work with your application.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there'll be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there's flexibility on where you're based at other times. You'll be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This'll be discussed in more detail at interview. 

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Creative Manager, you’ll lead for design and visual communication as part of the Trust's in-house creative team. You’ll be responsible for crafting innovative creative solutions for business areas across the organisation, including fundraising, commercial, membership, visitor experience and more. 

You’ll lead for quality visual communication and creative innovation, working closely with strategists, writers, digital media specialist, production and the wider marketing team, to create compelling work that’s original, clear and impactful.
