Customer Sales Support Engineer, a new permanent career opportunity has arisen based in Wiltshire, working for a global manufacturer that requires an experienced Mechanical Engineer who can demonstrate previous engineering experience and ‘know-how’. Best suited to a candidate who can communicate with high-value customers relating to their technical requirements, offering sound advice, price quotations and product availability.  Offering an annual salary of £35,000, this position is supported by an attractive employee benefits package with plenty of career progression and development.

Ideally educated in HND Engineering or a Science related subject (or similar), you will work with a highly skilled and experienced team of product design engineers, who are responsible for providing extensive technical application support to worldwide customers.  You must be able to evidence previous problem-solving skills, ideally gained within a technical manufacturing/mechanical setting, with ‘hands-on’ knowledge of SolidWorks and CAD software experience, working with schematic and technical designs and drawings.

As a Customer Sales Support Engineer, you will review and assess all new and existing design enquiries, arrange site visits for the customer, working with and create design amendments to customer specifications. The ability to accurately measure and assess prototype parts and products, and consistently look at the quality and performance to ensure correct customer order and requirement are all key elements. Naturally, you will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to liaise with internal stakeholders, whilst acting as the first point of contact for the customer.

Having gained proven organisational and administrative skills, you will be able to work with Outlook, MRP systems. Word, SharePoint and Excel for the compilation of reports, pricing, product availability and written customer communication.
