We are seeking a dedicated Science Technician to support the science department in a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Swindon.

As a Science Technician, you will:

• Prepare, maintain, and organise lab equipment, chemicals, and resources for science lessons.
• Assist teachers and students during practical experiments across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• Ensure all experiments are carried out safely, following health & safety regulations and COSHH guidelines.
• Manage stock levels, order materials, and safely dispose of hazardous waste.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Support the development of engaging and innovative practical science lessons.

• Previous experience in a laboratory, school, or similar environment.
• A strong understanding of scientific principles and health & safety regulations.
• Ability to handle and store chemicals safely, following COSHH procedures.
• Organised, proactive, and enthusiastic about supporting students' learning.
• A science-related qualification or experience in a scientific field is desirable.
