Coyle Personnel, one of the UK’s leading family-run staffing solutions providers, is currently seeking a skilled and proactive Fire Door Carpenter to join our Facilities Management team based in Swindon within a hospital environment, This is a fantastic opportunity to become a key part of a team delivering essential fire door compliance and maintenance services within a hospital environment.
Role Summary:
As a Fire Door Carpenter, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and installation of fire-rated doors and related hardware, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations, manufacturer standards, and site-specific requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of fire compliance, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work effectively both within a team and independently to complete fire door repair and maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, wearing appropriate PPE and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Carry out repairs on fire-rated doors in line with fire safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensure full compliance with fire safety requirements including fire ratings, smoke seals, and door clearance standards.
- Install and maintain fire-rated door hardware such as locks, hinges, and door closers.
Requirements:
- Completion of a recognised appropriate Apprenticeship or other relevant structured Training Program
- NVQ 2 Carpentry (Required)
- All aspects of fire door inspection and maintenance (Required)
- BM Trada Trained (Desired)·
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Health & Safety awareness and safe working
- Enhanced DBSÂ
