Academics Ltd. is currently recruiting for a Sports Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Swindon. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is committed to enhancing students' educational experience and supporting their growth in both sports and academics.
Key Responsibilities for Sport Teaching Assistant:* Collaborate with PE teachers to deliver engaging, creative lessons that inspire students to participate in sports and physical activities.* Provide tailored support to individual and small groups of students to help them overcome physical and academic challenges.* Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages students to be active and engaged in their learning.* Adapt your approach to meet the diverse learning needs of students in sports.* Assist with sports events, tournaments, and extracurricular activities.* Help with classroom management, organisation, and some administrative tasks.
What We're Looking For:* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain sports techniques and activities in a simple and accessible way.* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.* Flexibility and a proactive attitude in supporting a dynamic classroom and sports environment.* A genuine passion for sports and working with young people to help them succeed academically and physically.* Previous experience in sports or physical education is desirable, but not essential.
What We Offer Sport Teaching Assistants:* Competitive daily pay (£83.50 - £100 per day).* Immediate start available.* Long-term career progression with opportunities for teacher training after one year for exceptional Sport Teaching Assistants.
