1:1 KS2 Special Needs Teaching Assistant / SEN Support Assistant - SN4

My client is looking for a dedicated 1:1 Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a caring KS2 team, focusing on creating a positive learning environment for a student with social and communication needs. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing 1:1 support, maintaining pupil engagement and safety at all times
  • Building a strong rapport with the supported pupil to encourage positive growth
  • Assisting the pupil in managing and overcoming challenging behaviors
  • Collaborating with the KS2 team and communicating closely with SENDCo and parents/carers
  • Creating and leading engaging, topic-linked activities to foster interest and development
  • Working alongside external support professionals and adapting your approach as needed

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described.
  • Experienced in working with children with social and communication needs
  • Calm, patient, and enthusiastic about making a difference
  • Open to learning new approaches and taking advice from specialists
  • Confident in handling avoidant or challenging behaviors with a positive attitude
