Electrical Engineering Manager – Water Sector

Location: 4 days on-site / 1 day from home (Travel throughout Southern England required, especially around Thames Valley/M4 corridor)
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + Car/Car Allowance

Are you a skilled Electrical Engineering Manager looking to take your career to the next level in the water sector? We have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Electrical EngineeringManager to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team.

This role will involve leading both reactive and planned maintenance projects across multiple sites, focusing on MEICA systems, SCADA, moving structures, and water control systems. You’ll work 4 days a week on-site, with 1 day from home, providing you with flexibility while maintaining a hands-on role.

My client are an award winning Tier 1 Contractor, working in partnership with several of their sister companies to provide high quality Infrastructure services throughout the UK. Boasting year on year financial growth, they have implemented a key account management strategy, to build and nurture relationships with their key clients, including a mix of public and privately funded projects. The operate successfully operate across Rail, Water, Highways, Environmental and Nuclear Engineering, achieving longevity through framework agreements and tendered projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of electrical systems across water control structures
  • Manage the delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Lead a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and ensuring all work is compliant with safety standards and regulations

About You:

  • Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer
  • Extensive experience with MEICA and SCADA systems
  • Knowledge of moving structures and water control systems
  • Some mechanical experience is highly advantageous
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and liaise with multiple stakeholders
  • Previous experience with planned and reactive maintenance works in the water industry.
