Your New Role

Our client is seeking a Company Secretarial Assistant to join their team in Swindon and play a pivotal role in their continued growth. Our client is flexible as to where and how this role is fulfilled, and you may be interested in working part-time, or flexing your hours across five days - with a blend of office and homeworking.

You will be responsible for incorporating limited companies and ensuring compliance with money laundering requirements. You will prepare and monitor the confirmation statements process and deadlines, file changes to company information (including directors, PSC, and addresses), and prepare share documents such as transfers and restructuring. Additionally, you will draft minutes and resolutions for various transactions, prepare dividend paperwork and minutes, and maintain and/or create statutory records for companies, ensuring they are up-to-date with current legislation. You will also prepare paperwork for company strike-offs and dissolutions.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Knowledge of company secretarial duties and compliance requirements is essential, as is experience with statutory record maintenance and company legislation. This is a standalone role and whilst you will have the support of Directors internally (and external support if needed), it is important that you are comfortable operating autonomously. To succeed in this role, you will need strong organisational skills and attention to detail, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. Whilst not essential, experience with the IRIS company secretarial software would be an advantage.

What you'll get in return Our client is open to discussing flexible working patterns and pride themselves on their culture and environment, which sets them apart. In return for your efforts, you can expect the opportunity to really make this role your own. Please contact Harriet Chapman at Hays Legal for further information on the role.
