Job Title: Production Operator

Location: Lydiard Fields, Swindon

Salary: £15.20 per hour

Office hours: 37.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: alternating shifts, 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm

Contract Length: 3 months - very likely to be extended

A multinational British speciality chemicals and sustainable tech company are looking for a Production Operator to join their leading plant in Swindon. Previous manufacturing experience is needed for this role.

Duties include:

  • Co-ordinate and take responsibility for output of high quality product.
  • Achieve the agreed production plan on time and in full.
  • Adhere to site EHS standards and apply a Duty of Care at all times, both to yourself and your colleagues.
  • Ensure all products are manufactured to agreed customer specifications.
  • Contribute to the programme of continuous improvement and proactively work within the Production team and with other functions to provide ideas/suggestions for improving the operation, service and contribution made by the Production team to the profitable success of JM.
  • Understand and adhere to JM Group PGM Control guidelines.
  • To carry out/take on any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

Requirements:

  • Manufacturing experience in light industry using semi-automated equipment.
  • Good level of both written and verbal English, would be required to ensure a high quality of recording and following of procedures can be followed.
  • Computer literate with particular emphasis on use of Excel spread sheets and accurate data entry.
  • Health and Safety Conscious.
  • Able to carry out manual tasks.
