Crowe Watson Recruitment is excited to be recruiting on behalf of a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Swindon for an experienced Accounts Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking practice, renowned for its dedication to quality client service and professional development. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing a portfolio of clients, offering strategic business advice and overseeing the delivery of compliance work.

As Accounts Manager, you will be a valued member of the leadership team, working closely with partners to ensure clients receive expert advice tailored to their specific needs. You will be responsible for managing the accounts team, reviewing work, and fostering the development of junior staff members. In addition, you will have the opportunity to assist with business development and grow your portfolio further.

This role is ideally suited to a qualified accountant with experience in a UK practice, looking to take the next step in their career. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely delivery of compliance work and advisory services
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior accountants and trainees
  • Review the work of junior staff
  • Management of VAT and bookkeeping
  • Provide business advice to clients

Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Must have previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
  • Part-time also considered
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and client management skills

References to pay rates are indicative and salary is dependent on experience.
