Reed are seeking a Finance Manager to support our client's finance function with month-end reporting, regulatory reporting, and continuous improvement in the control environment. This role is crucial for the development and maintenance of best-in-class processes and controls within our client's Finance Team. You will help achieve operational and reporting objectives while delivering high-quality and cost-effective service to all stakeholders.
Day-to-day of the role:- Manage the month-end process across the team, including ownership of key processes such as payroll and cash control, culminating in the production of the month-end report.
- Complete FCA regulatory reporting and oversee investment firms.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the balance sheet, including preparation and review of monthly reconciliations.
- Challenge and understand the complaints provision to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Identify key processes/controls in Finance and collaborate with relevant teams to remedy and improve deficiencies.
- Maintain and own the Finance Function Manual & Finance Operating Procedures, ensuring they are fit for purpose and continuously improved.
- Manage the Treasury function and banking systems with support from the Head of Financial Reporting & Control.
- Oversee and develop the cash forecast model.
- Manage the Finance system, identifying control improvements, managing upgrades, and new reporting requirements.
- Participate in the Debt committee, providing updates on provisions and analysis of movements.
- Support the year-end audit and deliver audit requests from own and direct reports.
- Mentor and manage the team to support their development.
- Support the Financial Reporting & Controls Team and the wider finance team on ad-hoc work, including projects.
- Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant, or substantial relevant experience in Finance.
- Experience in a financial accounting role within a large organisation.
- Proven involvement and delivery of month-end reporting with analysis and insight.
- Deadline and task-oriented with strong organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Knowledge of Financial Services is advantageous.
- Competitive salary range of £47,000 to £67,000.
- On-target bonus of 10%.
