Description
- Supervise accounts and payroll staff, ensuring accurate financial data entry.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and year-end financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with VAT returns, Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), and other regulations.
- Manage fixed asset registers and account reconciliations.
- Authorise employee expenses and oversee payroll-related processes.
- Ensure the integrity of accounting systems and compliance with financial legislation.
- Work closely with the Finance Director and assist with risk management
Profile
The successful Finance Manager should have:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- Holds an accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with financial applications.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the construction or house building industry is a plus
Job Offer
- An estimated hourly rate of £20-25 an hour + holiday
- £40-£50k annual salary (if you go permanent)
