With over 20 years of experience, our client is an independent, industry-leading consultancy focused on creating sustainable impact through innovative and hands-on execution. We are looking for a Qualified Finance Manager to oversee our accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information.Day-to-day of the role:
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    • Oversee the preparation of group financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into the organisation’s financial performance and support decision-making.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    • Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
    • Prepare financial forecasts and projections to guide strategic planning and resource allocation.
    • Monitor budget performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance:
    • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
    • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate audits and address any findings.
  • Cashflow Management:
    • Monitor and manage the organisation’s cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and investments.
    • Oversee treasury functions, including cash management, investments, and debt management.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of inclusivity, continuous improvement, and professional development.
    • Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Systems & Processes:
    • Working with the Finance Director, review and support the implementation of appropriate systems to deliver reporting improvements within the finance function.
  • Payroll (nice to have):
    • Preparation and coordination of company monthly payroll, including processing and answering all payroll-related queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • CIMA/ACCA qualified
  • Strong understanding of finance within a professional services organisation, preferably consulting.
  • Private Equity backed organisational experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Experience with the preparation of Group Accounts.
  • Team Management experience
  • SME background
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
