Our client located in Swindon, Wiltshire, is on the looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Management Accounting! This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant team and lead a group of six talented individuals in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial accounts. Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of 6 to maintain the completeness and accuracy of the SAP accounts.
- Co-ordinate and oversee each period end close, ensuring timely production of management account data, standard reports, and balance sheet reviews.
- Oversee balance sheet and intercompany management, including related recharges.
- Manage relationships with auditors and lead preparation for group and statutory accounts audits.
- Maintain and develop finance system structure, utilizing SAP, Cognos, and Navision to meet evolving reporting needs.
- Embed process excellence and document all systems and controls to ensure best practices are followed.
- Proactively identify and resolve accounting and process issues, implementing solutions for new propositions.
- Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
- Experience in large companies or PLCs, preferably with an audit background.
- Demonstrated team leadership and management experience.
- Exceptional systems and reporting capabilities, coupled with excellent Excel skills.
- Proficient with SAP, HFM, and Cognos – a definite advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and an acute eye for accuracy.
