As a Private Client Tax Senior Manager, you will play a key role in managing a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth (HNW) clients and trust structures. Your focus will be on both compliance and advisory services, providing strategic tax advice while also contributing to business development and the growth of the firm's private client tax practice.

Description

  • Manage a portfolio of HNW clients and trust structures, handling both compliance and advisory work.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, offering timely tax advice and responding to specific queries.
  • Research complex tax issues and manage advisory assignments, ensuring clarity and practical solutions for clients.
  • Delegate tasks to team members, providing guidance and ensuring high standards of service and compliance.
  • Support the development of new business opportunities and services for existing and potential clients.
  • Write technical articles for newsletters and publications, showcasing expertise and contributing to marketing efforts.
  • Provide leadership and support within the team, including performance reviews, coaching, and professional development.
  • Monitor and manage team targets and budgets, addressing variances as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure a cohesive approach to client service delivery.

Profile

A successful Private Client Tax Senior Manager should have:

  • Extensive experience in private client tax, with strong knowledge of Inheritance Tax (IHT), Trusts, family investment companies, and intergenerational planning.
  • Proven experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families on wealth planning and personal tax matters.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to align tax advice with clients' business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate and manage a client portfolio, with a deep understanding of the HNW sector.
  • Experience with international tax issues, including residence, domicile, and offshore structures.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax implications for landowners, rural businesses, and related services.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and support junior team members.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax matters clearly.
