Description
- Manage a portfolio of HNW clients and trust structures, handling both compliance and advisory work.
- Maintain strong client relationships, offering timely tax advice and responding to specific queries.
- Research complex tax issues and manage advisory assignments, ensuring clarity and practical solutions for clients.
- Delegate tasks to team members, providing guidance and ensuring high standards of service and compliance.
- Support the development of new business opportunities and services for existing and potential clients.
- Write technical articles for newsletters and publications, showcasing expertise and contributing to marketing efforts.
- Provide leadership and support within the team, including performance reviews, coaching, and professional development.
- Monitor and manage team targets and budgets, addressing variances as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure a cohesive approach to client service delivery.
Profile
A successful Private Client Tax Senior Manager should have:
- Extensive experience in private client tax, with strong knowledge of Inheritance Tax (IHT), Trusts, family investment companies, and intergenerational planning.
- Proven experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families on wealth planning and personal tax matters.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to align tax advice with clients' business objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to generate and manage a client portfolio, with a deep understanding of the HNW sector.
- Experience with international tax issues, including residence, domicile, and offshore structures.
- In-depth knowledge of tax implications for landowners, rural businesses, and related services.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and support junior team members.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax matters clearly.
