Reed Practice are working with an established group of accountants who are looking to add a Senior Client Manager to their established team in their office in Swindon. As a Senior Client Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive and client-focused services to a designated portfolio, working closely with a Partner/Director. Your role will involve managing a diverse range of clients, ensuring their financial and business needs are met with precision and expertise.
You will act as the primary contact for your portfolio, ensuring that all client engagements are handled efficiently and to the highest standards. This role requires a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on involvement, where you will take charge of complex accounting tasks, oversee team performance, and contribute to the expansion of the firm's client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance relationships with clients in your portfolio, addressing complex accounting and tax issues while ensuring regular communication and prompt resolution of queries.
- Serve as the primary contact in the absence of the Partner, ensuring all client matters are managed promptly and efficiently.
- Coordinate with the compliance team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services, while also handling more intricate client work that requires specialised attention.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality client service.
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to provide additional services.
- Collaborate with Partners to expand the firm's client base through networking and direct engagement with potential clients.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Proven experience managing a diverse client portfolio within an accounting or business advisory context.
- Strong understanding of complex accounting and tax issues, with the ability to handle intricate client work.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Experience leading and mentoring teams, with a track record of developing junior staff members.
- Solid business development skills, with experience in identifying and capitalising on growth opportunities.
