Thrive Group are recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver on a temporary-permanent assignment, with a view to start immediately.

This is a full-time position, working 10:00-18:00, Monday-Friday. This position pays £11.44 per hour and is located in Swindon.

Please note that in order to be considered for this position, you must have a valid Counterbalance License.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Unload and label paper stocks as required.
  • Understanding of sizes and grammages.
  • Understanding of work in progress list for print and bindery.
  • Understanding and recording types of consumables.
  • Navigation of Tharstern/DHL/DPD/TPN/DX and other systems used in dispatch.
  • Ability to produce a daily despatch list.
  • Communicate with Production Team and CSE team.
  • Book transport as to customer requirements.
  • Book and deal with same day logistics.
  • Read and follow job bag instructions about deliveries and requirements of pallet sizes/box weights etc.
  • Deliver cost effectively - are there multiple jobs going to the same location.
  • Book in deliveries with 3rd parties - direct mail depots.
  • Produce commercial invoices/declarations/custom terms for overseas goods.
  • Understanding of DDP and DAP.
  • Understand PO and size of delivery.
  • Produce labels from supplied Excel spreadsheets.
  • Liaise with outworkers on delivery of outwork and collection of outwork.

The ideal candidate for this role will:

  • Have a valid Counterbalance Forklift License, with relevant experience.
  • Have a basic understanding of word and excel.
  • Be able to work within a small team and will be confident working alone.
  • Be flexible.
  • Be a clear communicator.
