Assembly and Stores Assistant required for well-established manufacturer based in Swindon. This is a permanent full-time position, working a day shift offering an attractive salary of £26500 plus a range of highly attractive employee benefits. This is a varied role with your skills being utilised as an assembly properties of manufactured and engineered parts used in the automotive and aerospace sectors. Ideally seeking a candidate who has previous assembly and production experience.

From time to time there is a requirement to offer support to the stores and warehouse area, therefore a Forklift Licence is a key advantage. Responsible for ensuring that all aspects related to the area and departments are dealt with in a controlled, efficient, and safe manner is key to the success of this position. A varied role which requires the assembling of company products for customer requirements, the allocation of stocks and goods stored in rack system allocations whilst assisting with pre-pack final stages, looking at quality of picking and packing. 

Assembly and Stores Assistant you will work as part of a professional and experienced team, working to daily targets, assisting with store duties/providing cover for the Senior Stores person during holidays, absences, and busy periods. Duties include booking in material and consumables and putting them away in the correct locations. This requires lifting of heavy material when allocating bar into stock Fully conversant with Linvar storage system/Pick and Pack for daily customer despatch. 

The position will include additional duties such as raw material handling, stock checking, the disposal of waste material and general packing and stores tidying. You will need a Full UK Driving License (occasional delivery to customers using company transport). There is a need to have IT skills due to the use and input of data onto the stock ordering system.
