  • EHV Estimator

    EHV Estimator. A Swindon based energy firm need an EHV Estimator to join the team. The EHV Estimator will betendering for new business across the UK with a key focus on building long-term relationships with new and existing customers whilst overseeing the quotation and tendering process through to design.

    The EHV Estimator will:

    • You will be preparing tendersfrom 33kV to 132kVvoltage.
    • You will be providing quotations and tenders for new connection works and turnkey projects utilising the companys in-house teams and supply chain.
    • You will manage key accounts for new and existing customers including, top-level review with the clients.
    • You will be talking to manufacturers & suppliers to develop partnerships for a turnkey solutions.
    • You will review and follow up quotations and provide feedback to the tendering and sales team for unsuccessful quotations.
    • You will attend site surveys & route walks, or tender interviews as necessary.

    The EHV Estimator will have a proven track record in:

    • establishing key aspects associated with client requirements, providing quotations, liaising with internal departments and submitting final overview of project ability to the client.
    • strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to use own initiative as well as work collaboratively as part of a team

    • evaluating supplier and subcontract returns to ensure compliance with the tender specification/documentation

    • drafting commentary regarding exclusions and clarifications associated with the return offer.

    • using business systems to follow company processes and maintain data integrity.
    • assisting with the creation and management of processes for the Estimating & Major Projects team.
    • attention to detail i.e. the ability to produce high quality proposals and reports with minimal supervision.

    The EHV Estimator will need:

    • Full UK driving license (Maximum of 3 points)

    • Qualification in engineering or equivalent experience

    • A level equivalent in literacy, numeracy and technology

    • Must have strong market knowledge and experience within the electrical distribution sector both from 33kV up to 132kV.

    • Experience working on large renewable projects and off site routes

    • Proven experience in the successful tendering of large scale projects

    • Experience of establishing strategic and operational partnerships.

    • Wide experience of handling complex business / commercial and in confidence sensitive information both internally and externally.

    • Experience in delivering successful tenders
