As the successful candidate you will be joining a well established firm in the construction industry who work with many of the UK's biggest house builders. 

Training can be given, however experience would be advantageous, as would a basic understanding of the construction industry. An aptitude for numbers, along with a positive, proactive approach will also benefit you.

Duties:

  • Assists Commercial Director & Head Estimator and work as a member of a cohesive team.
  • Analyse drawings and specifications.
  • Assemble accurate and well- organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner for stipulated Price, design-build and construction of the various home builders /Project customers. Provide clear detailed quantity take offs.
  • Provide accurate and organise estimates for the varying plot options ensuring the capture of requested upgrades options, other variations and potential risks.
  • Organise sub-contractors’ quotations, negotiate to ensure quotes meet contract documents.
  • liaison with the purchasing coordinator enabling correct, complete and timely orders to be placed.
  • Maintain relationships with sub-contractors and clients.

The position will involve assisting with day to day office administration, including:

  • Filing and archiving
  • Answering phone calls and assisting callers or passing to the appropriate person
  • Ad hoc work to support Managers and the Director
