We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head Groundsperson, managing and maintaining the grounds of our 70-acre Business Park located in Swindon.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all landscaping and grounds maintenance activities, ensuring the site remains in pristine condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all landscaping activities.
  • Manage the Assistant Groundsperson.
  • Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting and weeding.
  • Oversee the upkeep of trees, shrubs, lawns, and other green spaces.
  • Ensure all grounds equipment and machinery are properly maintained and serviced.
  • Possess a pro-active mentality toward the development of the site, reporting any issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • Full UK driving licence, held for a minimum of two years with a maximum of 6 penalty points.
  • Certificates PA1 & PA6.
  • The ideal candidate would possess a minimum of 5 years experience in site management, with a record of working for a similar site.

Desired

  • Basic mechanical knowledge with machinery would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively lead a team and interact with various stakeholders.
