This role offers a unique chance to lead, manage, and direct a dynamic technical team in a vibrant and diverse environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation, setup, and execution of a wide range of productions and events. This includes ensuring all technical aspects are meticulously planned and executed, from lighting and sound to stage management and equipment maintenance. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every event runs seamlessly.This role is 40 hours a week, onsite and includes working evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays in a busy and thriving environmentRole Responsibilities:- Show Operations: Manage and assist with the setup, running, and pack down of shows and events.- Technical Duties: Move scenery, operate lighting and sound, and manage special effects.- Customer Relations: Collaborate with visiting producers and artists.- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance of venue equipment.- Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety procedures and protect venue assets.Essential Experience:- Teamwork: Proven experience working as part of a team.- Theatre Environment: Previous experience in a busy theatre setting.- Technical Skills: Basic literacy, computer literacy, and numeracy.Desirable Experience:- Lighting & Sound Systems: Knowledge of rigging, focusing, plotting, and problem-solving.- Counterweight Flying Systems: Experience with temporary rigging solutions.-  Electrics: Understanding of single and three-phase heavy mains power.- Height Safety: Ability to work safely at height.- Security: Awareness of security and fire safety requirements.- Maintenance Skills: Proficiency with power tools and general building maintenance.- Staff Management: Experience managing staff and working with young people.
