Are you a Domestic Gas expert, seeking an office based role?

My client has an immediate opportunity for a Technical Gas Lead to join their Direct Works Team on a permanent basis.

This role would suit a Gas Engineer/Supervisor with experience in heating / boiler repairs who would like to transfer to an office-based support role.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure repairs are undertaken in a timely and efficient manner to safeguard the level of resident satisfaction built up in the business.
  • Monitor engineer job completion from correct skillset deployment to the ordering and deployment of parts to the heating team to, planned and reactive workload and individual job priorities, within servicing, safety inspections and day-to-day repairs
  • Make immediate adjustments to work programmes, keeping residents informed.
  • Point of contact for all aspects of heating work within an office environment (Technical & Compliance)
  • Validation of gas, oil, unvented cylinders certificates for statutory compliance & assist with the overall management of CMS (Compliance management system)
  • Authorise and approve boiler upgrade surveys and ensuring all relevant information is captured and communicated to sub-contractors within agreed standards and relevant legislation
  • Coordinate and assist the planning team with dynamic diary management for heating engineers ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity against set targets & KPI’s
  • Carrying out site visits and inspections as required
  • Point of contact with suppliers for part deployment & verification of correct spare parts.
  • Oversee and report on PPM tasks, ensuring all reactive works are completed within SLA
  • Primary lead for ensuring spare parts are ordered correctly through our internal system validation, responsibility as point of contact for suppliers.
  • To provide accurate guidance and technical support for engineers and non-technical operatives to resolve day to day issues

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds, NVQ level 3 or similar
  • ACS including CCN1 CEN1 WAT1
  • HTR1 CKR1 CPA1
  • UVHW
