This senior role is perfect for a strategic leader passionate about fostering a culture of safety excellence and operational compliance. Based from home, you’ll engage in UK-wide travel, working closely with Defence teams and regulatory bodies to enhance safety and performance standards.Role Overview:In this strategic and hands-on position, the Senior HSEQ Manager will support and shape the HSEQ landscape, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement in line with Defence standards. You’ll provide operational oversight, mentor HSEQ teams, and deliver targeted safety initiatives across sites, working closely with stakeholders to embed 'think safe, work safe, home safe' principles across the board.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of HSEQ strategies, aligning with Defence objectives.
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance, driving audit and documentation processes.
  • Enhance operational safety standards through training, reporting, and risk management.
  • Oversee incident management, conducting root cause analysis and corrective action planning.

Candidate Profile:
  • Qualifications: Level 6 in Occupational Health & Safety, IOSH/IIRSM membership, Lead Auditor qualification.
  • Experience: Proven experience in HSEQ management within Defence, Construction, or related fields, ideally with expertise in regulatory compliance and behavioural safety.
  • Skills: Strong analytical abilities, communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
  • Personality: Collaborative, proactive, and committed to building a positive safety culture.
