Xealthcare’s care provider are now recruiting for healthcare assistants to join there beautiful 70 bed nursing home on a permanent, full-time contract. Locatedclose to the district centre and all that area has to offer, in the county of Wiltshire. The care home caters to elderly residents who require nursing care, suffer mental health issues like Alzheimer and dementia, and need end-of-life care. Following their most recent CQC inspection, they have been rated ‘GOOD’.
Healthcare Assistant
As a carer, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and assistance to our client’s residents. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, administering medication, supporting daily activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of our residents. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients residents and contribute to their health and happiness.
The successful candidate will have 2 years’ experience from working within a professional healthcare setting and hold an NVQ Level 2 in health and social care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Administering medication in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
- Supporting residents with daily activities, such as meal preparation, eating, and mobility.
- Monitoring and recording residents' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
- Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 in health & social care.
- 2 years experience in a UK care home setting is preferred.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine interest in the well-being of elderly individuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Respect for privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
