As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN). This opportunity is particularly beneficial for those considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, or child development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students in the classroom, ensuring they stay engaged and on task
- Work with individuals or small groups to provide additional academic and emotional support
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons
- Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
- Support students with SEN, learning difficulties, or mental health needs
- Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and well-being
Key Requirements
- Degree in psychology or a related field (behavioural science, sociology)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for working with young people and supporting their development
- Ability to adapt to different classroom settings and student needs
- Experience working with young people (preferred but not essential)
