Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily personal care routines, including washing, dressing, and mobility.
  • Support residents with dementia and cognitive impairments, offering tailored care to meet individual needs.
  • Encourage and support residents to engage in a variety of activities, promoting mental and physical well-being.
  • Build strong, meaningful relationships with residents, their families, and the wider care team.
  • Administer medication as directed and monitor resident health and well-being.
  • Assist with meal preparation, ensuring dietary needs are met and meals are enjoyed.
  • Contribute to the care plans for each resident, ensuring all needs are met and continuously improved.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a care environment is preferred but not essential - we offer online training.
  • A caring, empathetic, and patient personality with a passion for supporting the elderly.
  • Understanding of dementia care and the challenges it brings is an advantage.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • A flexible, adaptable, and positive attitude towards care work.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality in a care environment.
