Neptune are a British interiors and lifestyle brand who design and make furniture, kitchens, lighting and all the little details for the whole home. We believe our designs can make life that little bit easier, happier and better and we always lead with heart. There are around 500 of us now, with over 100 skill sets from designers to retailers, our expert warehouse and distribution team to marketing and finance.

We're looking for an HR Advisor to join us on a permanent basis. The primary purpose of this role is to provide HR advice to your designated business area, including management of ER cases, advising on the full range of people related activities and act as an expert trusted partner to leaders and management teams in that area.

We care deeply about what we do, so you'll join a considerate, agile and hugely proactive group of people. This role will include:

  • ER case management (investigations, disciplinary, absence, performance and grievance), including proactive support to line managers to reduce instance and complexity.
  • Upskilling line manager capability in people matters, fostering independence and ability via coaching, advice and the creation of development activities.
  • Relies on knowledge and experience to drive pragmatic solutions aligned to Neptune values. Advice provided, and decisions taken consequently, are legally compliant, support business goals and always support our commitment to 'doing the right thing'.
  • Continuous improvement, adapting and adopting processes, documentation, policy, to reflect legislative change and an enhanced people service.
  • Supports and advises on talent management and succession, including identifying future opportunities for advancement.
  • Working within the People & Culture team on people related projects, be this as a lead of a project or working as part of a project team.

You'll be used to delivering creative, robust, well thought out action plans within a complex, fast-moving business. Equally, you'll know when subtlety and sensitivity is what's needed. You'll bring previous experience in a similar role, along with a full UK driving license as some travel will be required to our offices within Swindon and also across our hand-picked stunning retail locations.

Benefits we can offer you

  • Generous Holiday Allowance
  • Life Assurance
  • Company sick pay
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Generous new item and factory outlet discounts
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Competitive salary and discretionary bonus scheme

Across all locations, we stay united by our company values: Do The Right Thing, Do It Together, Aim High and Keep It Real.

We are a growing business that encourages our people to grow with us. Neptune's goal is to ensure we have a diverse and inclusive work environment, where all of our employees have equal access to opportunities and everyone's voices are heard.
