Technical Project Manager

Technical Project Manager required for my client based near Swindon for a permanent role.

This is a hybrid role - 4 days in the office.

Salary approx. £45-50k DOE

You will oversee planning, managing, and executing technical projects from start to finish. This role demands a strong grasp of project management methodologies, technical expertise, and excellent leadership skills. Your responsibility is to ensure that project objectives are achieved within the defined scope, budget, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

• Define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
• Create detailed plans, timelines, and milestones.
• Coordinate resources, including internal teams and external vendors.
• Ensure resources are available and optimally utilized.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and achievements.
• Act as the primary contact for all project inquiries.
• Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders and clients.

Project Execution and Control:

• Lead the team to ensure clear roles and responsibilities.
• Track performance using the right tools and address risks proactively.
• Adjust scope, schedules, or costs as needed.

Technical Leadership:

• Offer technical direction and support to the project team.
• Ensure technical feasibility and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address and resolve challenges.

Experience:

• At least 5 years of project management experience, including 3 years in a technical environment.
• Proven success in managing complex IT projects.

Skills:

• Proficient in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Expertise with tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, and Trello.
• Strong leadership, multitasking, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage multiple concurrent projects.

Certifications:

• Certifications like Prince 2, PMP, or CSM are advantageous.
