Hays are now looking for a FinOps Specialist for one of our local clients.- 12 Month contract- IR35 (circa £550 p/d)- Hybrid, 3 days a week in the office in Swindon In the role
- Using Cloud native and 3rd party cost management tools to drive cost optimisations across our clients' Cloud estate (Azure and some AWS).
- Utilising expert knowledge to deliver cloud cost optimization strategies.
- Building, maintaining, improving custom reports / dashboards to deliver cost reporting.
- Working with Cloud Engineering & Cloud Platform teams to implement cost optimization recommendations.
- Defining & implementing a new FinOps governance framework, and roadmap of FinOps activity to optimise Cloud spend.
Your profile
- Strong experience in Cloud FinOps / Cloud spend optimization (Azure).
- A strong understanding of AWS and Azure compute technologies.
- Knowledge and understanding of Public Cloud pricing schemes and Services.
- Ability to manage and execute commitment-based savings plans / Reserved instances for AWS and Azure.
- Experience of Cloud cost management tooling and strong native tooling skills are essential.
- Demonstrable experience of building dashboards.
- Clear, effective written and oral communication.
