Manufacturing Inspector required for a global manufacturer of bespoke machined parts based in Swindon, providing full production and quality support for the verification of mechanical parts and components. This is a full-time post, working a double day shift rota (6-2/2-10) Monday to Friday offering a highly attractive salary, paid overtime, and enhanced employee benefits package.

Your key responsibilities will include the inspection of finished products to 2 nd stage batch checks, following tool setting both pre and postproduction. This involves the systematic checking of medium, small, and tight tolerance components, using a range of measuring equipment (verniers, calliper’s, micrometres, and gauges). We are seeking a candidate with advanced working knowledge of CMM measuring machinery, plus the ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings, engineering symbols, machinery and equipment revisions and relevant Final Inspection documentation.

As Manufacturing Inspector, you will be responsible for Interpreting complex, technical schematics, ensuring that products are produced to the highest possible manufactured quality standard. Working with the wider production team and engineering teams, you will be responsible for the operation and running of the co-ordinate measuring machines for a range of certain features. You will support the Quality Assurance team by completing internal calibration checks of all measuring equipment, conducting a series of routine quality and 5s’ audit checks of patrolled manufactured batches.

Ideally, we are seeking a candidate who may have completed an engineering apprenticeship in mechanical/engineering/ tooling, with experienced gained in turning, milling, and/or other mechanical or inspection experience.
