gap Personnel, acting as an employment business, are recruiting for a Stock Controller for our internationally renowned client.

Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality Heat Shrink, Cold Shrink, and Pre-Moulded cable accessories and they supply many of the leading power and telecom industries all over the world. They are one of the largest independent companies focused solely on the cable accessory market in the world.

Overview of the role:

  • Maintaining stock accuracy within the system.
  • You must be organised at all and ensure kitting is planned correctly to ensure the production area always have work.
  • You must be able to plan 2 weeks ahead within this role & be able to take accountability for correctness of kitting & stock on the shelf / in the system is essential.
  • Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be part of the wider Warehouse Operation team.
  • Within this team you’ll be asked to cover for other roles so you will need to be multi-skilled, willing to learn & eager to take on more.
  • Support end of year stock audit with minimum disruption to the warehouse
  • Book incoming materials in a timely manner & expedite urgent items when informed by the operations team.
  • Carry out periodic stock counts to agreed reports

The ideal candidate:

  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Be able to think outside of the box to support the business
  • Be organised to organise your daily tasks around your working hours to ensure everything is done in a timely manner & completed
  • Eager to learn new skills / tasks
  • Team player
  • Come from a stock/warehousing background
