Private Client Legal Secretary

Location: Swindon, office-based

Salary: DOE

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Private Client Secretary to join the Private Client Department of a well-established law firm. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a professional team and provide essential support to private client services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support within the Private Client Department, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations.
  • Accurately type and audio type legal documents, correspondence, and reports related to wills, probate, trusts, and estate administration.
  • Professionally manage phone calls and handle client enquiries with a courteous and helpful manner.
  • Organise and manage appointments, meetings, and diary schedules.
  • Ensure client files are up to date, well-organised, and in compliance with internal processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in private client work is essential. Covering any of the following - wills, probate, estates, or trusts.
  • Strong typing and audio typing skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both on the phone and in person, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and work well under pressure.
  • Proactive, with a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
