Callout 1 in 6 (£100 standing payment and min 4 hours paid)

OT paid at 1.5 after 40 hours

25 days holiday plus bank holiday

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to support the delivery of a Facilities Management (FM) contract working across schools in Swindon. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering FM services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair work across campus buildings
  • Conduct building fabric repairs, minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
  • Perform air handling system maintenance.
  • Complete regular safety checks and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Carry out emergency light testing (DALI control experience advantageous).
  • Conduct communal lighting checks and building audits.

Person Specification:

  • Experience and knowledge of building services and facilities engineering.
  • SSSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH qualification would be advantageous.
  • 18th Edition would be advantageous.
  • Plumbing skills (C&G Level 2/3) would be advantageous.
  • Good health and safety knowledge.
  • Resourceful and self-motivated.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
