Production Engineer

Swindon

Full time - Permanent

Monday - Friday - 8.30am - 5.00pm with a one hour unpaid lunch break

Salary is dependent on experience

We are currently recruiting for a Production Engineer to join our client based in Swindon.

  • You must be highly motivated
  • A qualification or part qualification in an engineering discipline would be an advantage.
  • You must have the competence to follow processes methodically and accurately, possess good communication skills and be able to work both as part of a group and individually with limited supervision.

The role will require you to possess the following abilities to a high standard:

Electromechanical knowledge

Knowledge of wiring and cable preparation an advantage, interpreting and understanding of customer requirements from customer drawings and/or schematics

Systems engineering

Create production assembly documentation, defining bills of materials and product build structures, 2D CAD drawings and process procedures

Process control

Control of production assembly documentation, engineering change management, control of tooling, first article approval

Quality control

Resolving production issues in process, at final inspection or following customer returns, 8D investigation

CAD skills

Proficient use of CAD software an advantage - 2D drawings only required

Computer literacy

MS Office skills essential
