Mechanical Applications Engineer, permanent career opportunity based in Wiltshire. Working for a global manufacturer requires an experienced engineer who can demonstrate previous experienced gained working closely with new and existing customer designs. Ideally educated to HND Engineering or a Science related subject, you will join a team of highly skilled and experienced product design engineers, responsible for providing extensive technical application support to worldwide customers. You must evidence previous problem-solving skills, ideally gained within a technical manufacturing/mechanical setting, with 'hands on’ SolidWorks CAD software experience.

As a Mechanical Applications Engineer, you will review and assess all new and existing design enquiries, arranging site visits for the customer, working with, and creating design amendments to customer specifications. The ability to accurately measure and assess prototype parts and products, consistently looking at the quality and performance to ensure correct customer order and requirement. You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to liaise with internal stakeholders, whilst acting as the first point of contact for the customer.

You will have proven organisational and administrative skills, able to work with Outlook, MRP systems. Word, SharePoint, and Excel for the compilation of reports, pricing, product availability and written customer communication.
