Pertemps Swindon is seeking a permanent Engineering Inspector for a prestigious client in Swindon.
The role involves rotating shifts from Monday to Thursday, with early finishes on Fridays, and offers a salary between £33,000 and £34,500 per year, including a 20% shift allowance, depending on experience.
Main responsibilities include supporting engineering operations on CNC machines, conducting full checks after each batch, calibrating measuring equipment, and performing quality checks.
The ideal candidate should have previous experience in turning, milling, or other mechanical fields, as well as an understanding of engineering drawings and computer literacy; knowledge of CMM machines is desirable.

Pertemps Swindon are currently looking for an Engineering Inspector on permanent basics for one of our prestigious client based in Swindon.
Rotating shift Monday to Thursday 06:00-14:00/14:00-22:00 and early finish on Fridays (13:00/19:00)
Salary £33000-£34500 per year (including 20% shift allowance) DOE
Main Duties:

Supporting engineering operations predominantly on CNC machines
Full check after each batch
Calibration of measuring equipment
Quality checks

Ideal candidate:

Previous experience in turning, milling or other mechanical experience including engineering apprenticeship.
Understanding of engineering drawings
Computer literate
Knowledge of CMM machines will be desirable.
