We now have an exciting opportunity for anAssistant Merchandiserto join our High Street Impulse team at our Support Centre in Swindon.TheImpulse team looks after Confectionery, Drinks and Tobacco products - fast moving categories with dated stock impacts.

The role of an Assistant Merchandiser is ensuring ourproducts are in the right place in the right quantities at the right time. You will be instrumental in maximising our sales and profitability through careful planning.

What you will be doing
  • Working with the Merchandiser on planning open to buy and budget for subcategories
  • Production of range plans and accurate item ranging to support the delivery of the buyingplan against forecast and budget
  • Production of stock intake and distribution plans including PO management and best method ofsupply
  • Forecasting sales and stock levels of new and ongoing lines to achieve sales plans and margin/profit targets for the department
  • Support range review and range constructionprocesses
  • Reviewing dated stock and problem stockreports
  • Day to Day management of OTB process, intake and exitstock

What we are looking for
  • You will have previous experience in a similar role, with an understanding ofallocation and stock management
  • Strong commercial acumen with aproactive mindset; always looking for ways to drive both the merchandising function and the wider business forward
  • Exceptional analytical skills: you will genuinely love working with numbers and using data for decision making
  • A collaborative team player with experience of working in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
