Service Manager - Domestic Gas/Heating
Basic Salary 45k-50k (negotiable depending on experience) + Company Vehicle + Private Healthcare + Pension + Benefits

Alecto Recruitment Ltd currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service and Maintenance Manager to join a leading and well-established Plumbing and Heating organisation based in the Swindon area and on a permanent and fully employed basis.
Our client specialise in all areas plumbing, heating and gas related. Both domestic and commercial work, heat pump/renewables, OFTEC, LPG etc. and this opportunity would involve overseeing the domestic heating side of the business.
Job Summary:
- Acting as Head of Heating Department / Service Manager.
- You'll be responsible for managing and leading a team of gas engineers and heating engineers.
- Responsible for managing all domestic heating works, Gas Safe, OFTEC and Heat Pump/Renewable works.
- Diary management, scheduling and coordinate engineers and diary workloads.
- Site visits, carry out surveys and estimating/quotations of works.
- Staff management, invoicing, toolbox talks, responding to emails/enquiries etc.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities for staff.
- Take the lead on promoting and developing the Plumbing and Heating Division.
- Establish connections with local businesses to secure relationships (merchants, clients, other companies).
Skills Required:
- Previous on tools experience as a heating engineer, gas engineer or oftec engineer is essential.
- Be able to demonstrate leadership and previous management experience, ideally with similar experience as a Service Manager or Head of Department within the Plumbing and Heating, or Gas industry.
- Good IT and Computer skills.
- You'll need to live commutable to Swindon or Oxfordshire and to be considered for the role.
