IMC Locums are seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist in an acute inpatient setting in the Wiltshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified OT to make a real difference in patient care within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions to a diverse caseload of patients within an acute inpatient setting.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support patients' recovery and facilitate safe and timely discharges.
Develop individual care plans, focusing on patient-centred goals aimed at improving functional independence and quality of life.
Conduct thorough assessments of physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities, creating bespoke treatment programs.
Liaise with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care planning.
Participate in discharge planning and provide recommendations for appropriate follow-up care or community support services.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in line with departmental and professional standards.
Essential Requirements:
HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
Previous experience working in an acute inpatient setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage a varied caseload in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
