Our client, a forward-thinking and market-leading provider of community healthcare services, is looking for a skilled Dermatology GPwER to join their team in Swindon.

This provider delivers high-quality Dermatology services to patients referred by GP practices and NHS Trusts, supporting both primary and secondary care.

Role: Dermatology GPwER

Location: SwindonDays Available: Monday to FridayWorking Hours: 09:00 - 18:00 (or similar)Rate: £100.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality clinical care to adult patients in the community Dermatology service, handling both new and follow-up appointments.
  • Diagnose and treat non-two-week wait lesions and general dermatological conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, etc.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, obtaining comprehensive medical histories and performing physical examinations.
  • Order necessary diagnostic tests, analyse results, and develop appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Prescribe medications, recommend therapies, and provide interventions to alleviate symptoms and promote recovery.
  • Perform or refer for minor procedures, including cryotherapy and intralesional steroid injections.
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions, available treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Provide advice on lifestyle changes, self-care practices, and proper medication use.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including minor surgery clinicians and general practitioners, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss cases, review treatment plans, and assess outcomes.
Candidate Requirements (Medical and Nursing):
  • Medical Degree: MBBS/MBChB (or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
  • GMC Registration: Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Dermatology Diploma: Specialised qualifications in Dermatology.
  • Clinical Expertise: Significant experience in diagnosing and treating dermatological conditions within a healthcare setting.
  • Evidence-Based Practice: Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of dermatological conditions and current evidence-based guidelines.
  • Training Compliance: Up-to-date with all mandatory training requirements.
