Role: Dermatology GPwER in SwindonDays Available: Monday to FridayWorking Hours: 09:00 - 18:00 (or similar)Rate: £100 per hourKey Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality clinical care to adult patients in the community Dermatology service, including both new and follow-up patients.
  • Treat a variety of dermatological conditions, including non-two-week wait lesions, acne, psoriasis, and eczema.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including obtaining patient medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on accurate diagnoses and individual patient needs.
  • Prescribe medications, recommend therapies, and administer interventions to promote healing and manage symptoms.
  • Perform or oversee minor dermatological procedures, such as cryotherapy and intralesional steroid injections.
  • Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment options, and preventative care measures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including GPs and minor surgery clinicians, to provide integrated patient care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to treatment discussions and reviewing patient outcomes.
Candidate Requirements (Medical and Nursing):
  • Medical Degree: MBBS/MBChB (or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
  • GMC Registration: Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Dermatology Qualification: Diploma or equivalent in Dermatology.
  • Extensive Experience: Significant experience diagnosing and treating dermatological conditions in a clinical setting.
  • Up-to-date Knowledge: In-depth understanding of current dermatological treatments and best practice guidelines.
  • Training Compliance: Fully compliant with all mandatory training requirements.
