IMC Locums are looking for a skilled Inpatient Physiotherapist to join our team on a locum basis. You will play a crucial role in the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients across a variety of inpatient settings. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is looking for flexible, rewarding work.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and deliver physiotherapy treatment programs for inpatients, including those recovering from surgery, illness, or injury.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide comprehensive care and support the patient's journey to recovery.
Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and exercises to aid in recovery.
Manage a varied caseload with conditions such as post-operative recovery, respiratory conditions, neurological disorders, and complex medical cases.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in line with professional standards and guidelines.
Support the early discharge process by facilitating safe mobility and functional independence for patients.
Requirements:
Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or equivalent).
Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Previous experience working as a physiotherapist in an inpatient setting (NHS or private sector).
Experience in managing post-surgical, medical, and respiratory conditions.
Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and manual therapy skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Desirable:
Experience working in a locum or agency setting.
Familiarity with NHS systems and processes.
Experience in specialized areas such as neurology, orthopaedics, or elderly care.
