Our client is keen to recruit and experienced Quality Inspector to join their growing electronics company in Swindon.

Key Duties for the Quality Inspector:

  • Inspects material, products and work in progress for conformance to specifications
  • Mark items for acceptance or rejection, record results and compare findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards
  • Interpret drawings, sample and other information to determine change, measurement specifications or inspection and testing procedures have been followed
  • Examine and repair rejected assemblies if only minor corrections required
  • Operate machinery and equipment, and uses hand tools
  • Operate AOI inspection equipment
  • Create programmes for AOI inspection equipment

Skills and experience for the Quality Inspector include:

  • Inspect goods to high standards
  • Ability to work to schedules and deadlines
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Exceptional housekeeping
  • Have a pro-active approach and demonstrate ability to achieve results
  • Understanding of inspection to the requirements IPC620 and JSTD
  • Understanding of electrical principles, fault finding and diagnostics
  • Understanding of AS9100, ISO9001 would be an advantage
  • Experience in calibration of tooling would be an advantage
  • Experience of TE code of practices would be an advantage
  • Experience of operating MK Test equipment and programming would be an advantage
