We are seeking a dedicated Progress Coach to join our Further Education college in Swindon. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting learners through their educational journey, ensuring their successful completion, performance, and progression.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Act as a Progress Coach for a designated number of learners, collaborating closely with Curriculum Managers and teaching staff to advocate for learners.
  • Support learners from induction through to their progression, monitoring their performance and progress.
  • Manage a caseload of learners, engaging with them in tutorial groups, focused sessions, and one-to-one settings.
  • Deliver the mandatory tutorial plan tailored to the needs of the allocated caseload of learners.
  • Monitor student attendance within the caseload, working in partnership with curriculum teams and intervention coaches to enhance attendance in accordance with college policies.
  • Implement proactive intervention strategies upon identification of barriers to learning, refer learners to appropriate support services, and adjust actions to ensure learner success.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a coaching, mentoring, or educational support role.
  • Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and manage a caseload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
  • Proactive in identifying challenges and barriers to student success and adept at implementing effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with educational environments and policies, particularly within further education.
