Working within a supportive and dynamic environment, you will work closely with production teams, suppliers and the commercial department to ensure materials are sourced at competitive prices while maintaining quality and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement & Sourcing: Source and negotiate materials packages for projects.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers negotiating favourable terms.
  • Cost Control: Ensure best value by analysing pricing, quality and lead times.
  • Order Management: Place and track orders, ensuring timely delivery to avoid project delays.
  • Stock & Inventory: Work with site teams to monitor stock levels and anticipate future requirements.
  • Compliance: Ensure all purchases comply with industry standards, health & safety regulations and company policies.
  • Market Analysis: Keep up to date with market trends, material costs and availability to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with contract managers, quantity surveyors and site teams to align procurement with project needs.

Key Requirements

  • Experience in procurement or buying within construction (or similar).
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
